1950s sci-fi adventure following a team of scientists in search of a safe haven within the depths of planet Earth. Concerned about the threat of nuclear war, Dr. Jeremiah Morley (Victor Kilian) and his fellow experts take a special atomic-powered vehicle called the Cyclotram on an expedition underneath the planet's suface. They are joined by Wright Thompson (Bruce Kellogg) who has provided them with funding for the experiment and, along with Morley, has feelings for Dr. Joan Lindsey (Marilyn Nash). After a treacherous journey they finally reach their destination, but will it be everything that they hoped for?
