Staten Island, NY, native N.Y.OIL is known for his racy rhymes, social commentary and forthright observations pertaining to the state of black culture and hip- hop. Best known for his raucous single and accompanying video for "Y'all Should Get Lynched," which features photos of A-list hip-hop luminaries Three 6 Mafia, Jim Jones, The Game and 50 Cent juxtaposed with stark images of slavery and lynchings, the video was banned from YouTube within its first 48 hours of upload and generated an immediate firestorm of controversy. Both a divisive and unifying figure, NY Oil speaks unabashedly about the deplorable state of commercial hip-hop music and culture on his debut release, which will now enjoy its inaugural wide release with an entire additional disc of 10 tracks after a limitied and spotty self-release of the 1 disc configuration by the artist himself.
