Founded in the early 1990s by Tchort, former bassist of Emperor, the Norwegian band quickly built up a cult audience thanks to one of the most ambitious epics in metal history. Even before their hiatus in the mid-2000s, these ever-evolving authors still displayed a sense of spectacular by performing their acoustic verses under a mountain dam. However, one story – three, to be precise – still eluded them. Until today. With the beginning of its trilogy 'A Dark Poem', GREEN CARNATION finally announces its masterpiece. The idea of a trio of albums originated in the early days of GREEN CARNATION, but the first part of 'A Dark Poem' cites various passages from their illustrious repertoire. The debut single, "In Your Paradise", reaches new heights of power, carried by sublime riffs and dark symphonic ornaments. Although the group navigates with the mastery we know it, the panorama of the "shores of melancholy" is far from heavenly. The final judgment manifests itself on every corner, whether in the warlike darkness of the title track, floydian atmospheres tinged with paranoia, or passages inherited from black metal.
