John Baldessari is one of the pioneers of concept art, which revolutionised contemporary art in the 60s and significantly influences young artists to this day. The film shows the multifaceted creation of John Baldessaris: The artist with his assistants in the studio, teaching or as a passionate observer of contemporary art at the Bee of Venice and Art Basel. The documentation gives insight into the work of a radically modern thinking artist and thus helps to understand the often hard-to-reach world of contemporary art.
