Robert Rauschenberg died on 12.05.2008 - This is the only documentation available on DVD to Rauschenberg. For the New York Times, Rauschenberg was a "titanium of American art", for the Gugsecret Chef Thomas Krens the "Picasso of the second half of the 20th century". In 1953, Rauschenberg made attention with the madly act of erasing a de-kooning drawing. With the combination of everyday waste from the New York streets and expressive abstract painting, he finally brought reality into the picture and pave the way for the pop art.
