Jubel, Schein, Bedeutung - J.S. Bach Sonatas

What is the right tempo? How was the perception of the music 3 or 4 centuries ago before the invention of metronome and the industrial revolution? This basic questions are the starting point of the research conducted by Valerio Losito, Elisabetta Guglielmin and Lorenzo Biagini searching for the "right time of the music". This approach to the music by J.S. Bach create a new, sensational intepretation of the Sonatas for Violin and Harpsichord. The sonatas are now like alternative worlds, opening new spaces and perspectives far away from the industrial idea of "mechanism" and back to an idea of speaking, emotional and symbolic music. The listener need to slowly go inside this interpretation to really come in a new (and at the same time old) dimension of this Music.
