Die britische Modern Metal Band Sikth gibt es bereits seit elf Jahren und kann bisher ausschließlich auf einige Mini-CD Veröffentlichungen blicken. Dies wollte die Band ändern und hat im Jahr 2015 Slipknot auf ihrer UK Tour begleitet. Anschließend waren sie mit Peripherie in den USA auf Tour und Anfang 2017 auf großer, sechswöchiger Tour durch Europa mit Trivium. Die Band gilt schon lange als Einfluss vieler Größen im Metalcore und Modern Metal. Sikth vereinen Metal und Progressiven Elementen. Ihre Texte sind stets sozialkritisch und am Puls der Zeit. „The Future In Whose Eyes?“ wurde in mehreren Studios aufgenommen: Mikee Goodman's Studio, Adrian Smith's (Iron Maiden) R&R Studio und im Monkey Puzzle House. Produziert wurde das Album von Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Young Guns & Gallows) und gemixt von Adam "Nolly" Getgood (Peripherie, auch verantwortlich für mixed Devin Townsend Project & Animals As Leaders).
