The Mystery Agency – You become detective to solve truly mysterious cases using real-world objects, documents and websites. The Balthazar Stone is an escape room style mystery puzzle to play at home individually or with up to 6 players from age 14 to adult. Join Elsa Winslow on her journey to Sharktooth Island. To solve the mystery, you must solve the many clues hidden in an ancient treasure chest to find Balthazar’s Stone and break its ancient curse. Can you crack the padlock code just to open the treasure chest? Start with the included newspaper. Then you and your team will then need to very carefully inspect over 20 real-world objects including metal keys, feathers, corks, maps, photos, another padlock, authentic documents and other surprises. You’ll even need to uncover hidden websites concealing further clues. Play individually or with family and friends for a most entertaining and unusual games night in. Try competing in teams for added tension. It’s the perfect event for a board games party or games night and takes about 2 hours to solve. Fans of puzzles, brain teasers, Line of Duty and Sherlock Holmes will simply adore the engaging experience of solving this highly tactile escape room mystery puzzle. With so many real-world items the experience is highly absorbing as you tackle the many different types of puzzles thrown your way. If you do get stuck at any point, graded hints are available online to help you on your way. We won’t tell if you use them. The Balthazar Stone is totally reusable. Nothing is broken or used up during play (do avoid writing on any pieces) so the puzzle can be restored to original set up and be shared to play again. We even give you instructions how to do this.
