FROM THE ARTIST
The music on this CD is for all ages and, I hope, a wide range of tastes. Adults and children alike need beauty and love, and this is what I have recorded. I've used different genres - jazz, pop, country-style, classical, and so on. For me, beautiful music is simply beautiful music, whatever the style.

"The Oasis: Lullaby songs I sing to ease my family into sleep" was created as a keepsake for my daughter. The songs were honed during endless hours of singing to her. She was an honest critic, and only those songs which truly brought her joy have been recorded.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
The first comment people make when listening to Ms. Leffmann sing is almost always, "What a beautiful voice!"

Merrill Leffmann grew up singing folk songs while out riding. She later turned to jazz performance, and, while taking voice lessons to improve her 'chops', detoured into a Masters of Music, studying Opera and Art Song. After performing classical music, Ms. Leffmann turned to Musical Theater for further vocal adventures. She currently creates and performs one woman cabaret shows that run the vocal, emotional, and genral spectrums.
