Deze box-set was een van de eerste die JSP in 2001 uitbracht. Door aanhoudende vraag van het publiek is hij nu weer opnieuw verkrijgbaar met opgefrist artwork. Ongewijzigd gebleven is de subliem mastering door John RT Davies. In de jaren 20-40 was Eddie Condon een van de belangrijkste figureren in de Chicago-jazzscene, met een onvoorstelbaar talent om de juiste mensen op het juiste moment samen te brengen. Op deze opnames horen we dan ook Bud Freeman, Benny Goodman, Jack Teagarden, Gene Krupa, Louis Armstorng, Glenn Miller en vele anderen. In alle opzichten een klassieker in de catalogus.
