Django in Rome 1949 - 1950

Er wordt heel wat uitgebracht van deze op vroege leeftijd (1910-1953) overleden jazzlegende. Helaas is lang niet alles even interessant, maar JSP weet toch voor de liefhebber een zeer interessante 4-cdbox samen te stellen van de opnames die Django in 1949 en 1950 in Rome maakte (het grootste gedeelte met violist Stephane Grappelli). De remastering van deze opnames werd gedaan door Ted Kendall, die ook de Classic Early Recordings (JSPCD 901, door de Penguin Guide aanbevolen) samenstelde en remasterde.
