Cambria is the result of MG3's long period of musical introspection prompted by extensive world travelling. Four years have elapsed since the Montreal trio released its third album but the fans will not regret waiting for this new CD, the band's most personal yet. It includes six original pieces by Sébastien Dufour and Glenn Lévesque as well as three cover versions of Ennio Morricone, Luis Bonfi and George Harrison. It reflects the music that influenced the trio over time. Caminando mixes flamenco, Argentine tango and Cuban music. In Le Peuple des Glaces, Nordic music, Brazilian samba and progressive rock mingle successfully as well as Oriental sounds and Californian surf guitar in Surf sur l'Orient and contemporary pop in Marikéro. Nothing stands in the way of MG3 who has no problem creating songs and instrumental tunes that transcend borders and go beyond limitations often encountered by guitar trios.
