The Intellinet Gigabit media converter allows the integration of copper cable connections into a fiber optic network. This allows you to integrate or expand your existing network with minimal cost and effort. Because the converter is fully network transparent, the network continues to work in the same way - now with the support of both copper and fiber media. Expands an existing network Fiber connectivity allows workgroups to be integrated into the network. This means building to building connections can be set up without additional routers, saving effort and costs. Increases range between network devices Connecting to a fiber segment can increase the distance between remote network nodes. This can be achieved by connecting the converter directly to a fiber optic connection node or network device.
