Friends, Fights and Fun

The Uprise's one and only album "Friends, Fights & Fun" was originally scheduled to be released on the UK based label Link Records, a label owned by Mark Brennan former bassist of the UK band The Business and later Captain Oi! Records along with former Business manager Laurie Pryor in the fall of 1988. The main core of The Uprise from their conception was the songwriting trio of Scott Andrews on Guitar, Rob Daly on Drums and Matt Andrews on Bass. In their brief 3-year existence, they had matured beyond what most would have expected. The band set out to record on 1" tape with an 8-track recorder. This was pretty hi tech at the time. There were a total of 10 tracks recorded that were recorded in the studio in the same order as they were scheduled to be presented on the 2 sided album.
