Gustav Mahler arrangierte Schubert's String Quartett Nr. 14 'Death and the Maiden' by expanding it into a grand orchestral spectacle. Es offenbart seine Bewunderung für Schubert und dient dazu, die Reise des Quartetts durch Leben, Tod und menschliche Widerstandsfähigkeit in dieser Fusion von zwei großartigen musikalischen Visionen der Komponisten zu intensivieren. Airat Ichmouratov's Concerto Grosso No. 3 trägt den Untertitel "Liechtenstein" und greift auf die atemberaubende Landschaft und Musik des Landes in einer ausdrucksstarken und virtuosen Orchestererkundung zurück. Es wurde speziell für Alexander Gilman und die LGT Young Soloists komponiert, eines der erfolgreichsten Touring-Jugendorchester auf der ganzen Welt.
