Naoussa Concerto/Concerto Do Rio

Thanos Mitsalas und das Staatliche Sinfonieorchester Thessaloniki unter der Leitung von Miltos Logiadis legen zwei Werke für Gitarre und Sinfonieorchester von Sergio Assad vor, die beide erstmals eingespielt wurden: sein Naoussa-Konzert und das Concerto do Rio. Beide zeichnen durch ihre beschreibenden Satz- und Abschnittstitel ein fesselndes Bild kontrastreicher kultureller Umgebungen: das eine in einer urbanen brasilianischen Kulisse, das andere in einer ländlichen griechischen. Das Naoussa-Konzert entstand zum 200. Jahrestag des Massakers von 1822 während des griechischen Unabhängigkeitskrieges in der nordgriechischen Stadt Naoussa.
