Complete Organ Works

Das Orgelspiel hatte in der Familie von Giacomo Puccini Tradition. Schon der Urgroßvater leitete die Kirchenmusik an der Kathedrale von Lucca. Bevor er mit 22 Jahren ans Mailänder Konservatorium ging, übte der später enorm erfolgreiche Opernkomponist in seiner Heimatstadt und in umliegenden Gemeinden das Organisten-Amt aus. Seine insgesamt 57 Kompositionen für die Orgel stammen aus dieser Jugendzeit. Der Organist Paolo Bottini hat das Gesamtwerk nun auf zwei Orgeln in der norditalienischen Provinz eingespielt.
