That's pretty heady stuff for a bunch of guys from Toronto, but what the hey, If John Wayne can get away with playing Genghis Khan.This album is chock full of furious instrumental bursts that conjure up images of Ennio Morricone riding down to pillage the beach, traditional murder ballads, Stanley Brothers blue grass rave-ups, and spells of Stoogerian skronk. All of this was recorded on pristine 2" tape by none other than Steve Albini.
