Growing up in Buenos Aires, Natalia Clavier was immersed in a world of music classical, jazz, Argentinian folk, pop, and Spanish singer-songwriters, as well as the revolutionary sounds of American soul and protest rock. A move to Barcelona led to a connection with Thievery Corporation s label Eighteenth Street Lounge (ESL) and began collaborations that soon led to her debut album, Nectar, released in 2008 on ESL, and later to Lumen, released on Nacional Records. Natalia is back with TRANS, an album that stands mainly for transition and transformation as these songs portray a period of her life of deep change - both emotional and spiritual. There are other words that inspired the album title such as transmission, transcend, transport, transgender, and transmutation. All of these words relate to this body of work in one way or another. With TRANS, Natalia is hoping to merge electronic pop, latin alternative, and healing music. Natalia says, "This is a very special album for me because I co-produced it with my brother Pablo Polsick Anglade. Working together also brought healing into our relationship and helped us with grieving the passing of my stepdad.
