Shane & Shane have cemented their status as one of contemporary Christian music's most consistent, compelling and successful groups for nearly a decade. After a brief hiatus from recording, Shane Barnard and Shane Everett have returned to the studio with two years' worth of new material, all self-written and self-produced. The Shanes, now both married with children, created this latest record through the lens of fatherhood and community. In fact, Barnard penned the title - track a poignant letter from daddy to daughter - a week before his daughter Lucy was born. Rarely does worship sound so personal and passionate as when these two college friends sit down and start putting scriptures to song. The pure emotion of their harmonic tribute to heaven gushes with each note. Even by their own standards, Shane & Shane are buoyantly enthusiastic.
