Irakere müssen sich nur treu bleiben - und schon ist klar, daß die Kubaner seit Jahren ganz prächtig in etwa das gespielt haben, wofür Eddie Palmieri 1989 als Neuerer gepriesen wurde: heißeste karibische Rhythmen mit Ingredienzen aus Jazz und Rock - verführerisch leicht und schön, aber voll rhythmischer Abenteuer. Neu scheint, daß die Truppe um Chucho Valdez im Album fast ohne Hänger einspielt. Nur der platte Disco-Ausflug Baila Mi Ritmo mußte (auch als Parodie) nicht unbedingt sein, bleibt aber die einzige Geschmacksverirrung.
