Carissa Johnson is known for her straight-forward lyrics, driving melodies, and her band’s inimitable live energy. From the start Johnson has been supported sonically by hard-grooving drums, growling bass lines, and resonant guitar melodies. Johnson’s brand new album release Blue Hour Deluxe is a 22 track collection of kinetic synth-laden indie-rock songs that serve as a chronicle of a year spent inside oneself, an study of loneliness, self-doubt, frustration and motivation backed by dreamy electronic production and driving percussion.
