Voted “The Most Important Folk Album of All Time” by the listeners of the Mike Harding Show, BBC Radio 2 Fairport’s ground breaking album from 1969 has now been digitally remastered and boasts an additional CD of studio out-takes and BBC sessions from John Peel’s Top Gear programme from September 1969.The original line-up of Fairport Convention ( minus Sandy Denny ) will be performing Liege and Lief in its entirety on the Saturday night at this year's Cropredy Festival in August.
