New Country Artist, Singer-Songwriter, Cody Sumpter. This talented singer-songwriter-guitarist presents a unique sound combining the musical influences of country, pop and blues. Inspired by the wide-open ranges, rolling wheat fields and agrarian upbringing on his family's farm in Dos Palos, California, Cody has filled his life with music. Cody's interest in music began when he was a young man. "I'd ride in the tractor with my dad and we'd listen to country music singing along to every song on the radio". Musical roots ran in the Sumpter family. Cody's father played banjo in a band while his mother sang at church and eventually, so did Cody. The songs, drawn from personal life experiences, were recorded and written by Cody & collaborator/producer Joe Goodman. Cody Sumpter definitely makes his mark in the country music industry as a true performer with authentic roots and heart in his music. At the end of the day, Cody's musical aspiration is to share the music, entertain, and make people happy.
