Some are new, including one on the 2000 Presidential elections; some are newly released from the NPR archive; some are vintage recordings from his days as a freeworld radio journalist, including his classic interviews with Bob Marley, Hugh Masekela, Ruby Dee and his coverage of the conflicts between MOVE and the Philadelphia police. Interspersed with Mumia's work, the CD contains both readings of Mumia's work, and statements, from the likes of his son, Mazi Jamal, Assata Shakur, Martin Espada, Peter Coyote, Rubin Hurricane Carter, Michael Franti and Marc Bamuthi Joseph amongst others. Finally, three musical tracks round off the project, including the Rocks The World mix of the now legendary Mumia 911 Unbound Allstars (featuring Chuck D, Zach De La Rocha, Dead Prez and Pharaohe Monch), and a new track from Seeds Of Wisdom. A compelling portrait of Mumia over a thirty year period.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mumia Abu-Jamal is an award-winning journalist who has been incarcerated for over 30 years, mostly on death row. His books include Live from Death Row (1996), All Things Censored (2003), We Want Freedom: A Life in the Black Panther Party (2008), and Have Black Lives Ever Mattered? (2017), among several others.
