Welcome to springtime at Trout Lake, a wondrous place nestled into the mountains of Washington. Birds begin to sing at the first light of dawn. Just after sunrise a raven circles high above the lake calling to his mate, and the echo of his voice reverberates and carries for over a mile. A trout leaps at low-flying insects. The beautiful songs of red-winged blackbirds, chipping sparrows, Stellar's jays, and an American robin can be heard throughout. There are 2 cuts: East and West. East--enjoy peaceful, hot summer evenings relaxing to the sounds of mountain wildlife, such as cicadas and small insects repeating their twilight melodies in the eastern Adirondack Mountains. West--You'll continue your soothing experience in the Cascade Mountains of northern California as bulfrogs and great horned owls join the insect chorus.
