In Concert

Altsaxofonist Johnny Hodges (1906-70) stond bekend om zijn zuivere toon en persoonlijke stijl. Hij was gedurende het grootste deel van zijn leven de steunpilaar van het Ellington Orchestra. Met dit Ducal All-star septet deed hij optredens in Europa in het voorjaar van 1961. Het bestaan van het concert in Kopenhagen was een gerucht onder de fans, maar werd nooit werkelijkheid tot nu toe. Dit album is een historische uitbreiding is van Hodges' discografie.
