In Concert

Het Deense label SteepleChase begint met een serie nog niet eerder uitgebrachte live-opnames van het Falkoner Centret in Kopenhagen, waar talrijke prominente Amerikaanse bands en solisten eind jaren '50 optraden. Deze cd is de eerste in de "In Concert"-serie. "Swing King" Benny Goodman (1909-86) toerde in 1959 door Europa met zijn 10-koppige band met vibrafonist Red Norvo en met zangeres Anita O'Day op twee nummers. Dit goed bezochte concert is van 17 oktober 1959.
