Dexter Gordon's Europese periode (1962-1976) speelde zich voornamelijk af in zijn geliefde Denemarken. Hier vond hij nieuwe energie in het optreden en opnemen om een groot deel van zijn discografie op te bouwen op de top van zijn artistieke kracht. De output was echter schaars tussen 1962 en 1964. Dit album, opgenomen in Kopenhagen (1962) en Oslo (1963), is een knap document van de nieuwe start door deze meester van de tenorsaxofoon.
