Jammen heeft soms ook een duidelijke leerfunktie. In hoe verre dit opgaat voor de muzikanten tijdens deze sessie is moeilijk te beantwoorden, maar dat er zeer spannend wordt gemusiceerd (o.l.v. pianist Andy Lavern) is duidelijk. Vooral de tenorsaxofonisten Billy Drewes (o.a. Bill Frisell en Ron Carter) en Dick Oats (o.a. Tito Puente en Lester Bowie) en drummer Adam Nussbaum (o.a. Gil Evans en Michael Brecker) vallen op.
