Billy Harper (1943) werd beroemd door zijn optredens bij Gil Evans' Orchestra, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers en het Thad Jones- Mel Lewis Orchestra. Eind jaren 70 begon Harper zijn eigen groep te leiden en sindsdien toert hij met zijn band over de hele wereld. Hij is een zeer ondergewaardeerde tenorsaxofonist, die een uniek geluid ontwikkeld heeft. All Music Guide gaf 4 sterren: "This is a perfect introduction to the artist's music." 180 grams vinyl.
