Tim Van Eyken, de jonge accordeonist/zanger van o.a. Waterson:Carthy, heeft een indrukwekkend en spraakmakend album afgeleverd. De elf traditionals die Van Eyken heeft uitgezocht worden met veel zelfvertrouwen en inventiviteit gebracht. Zelfs een versie van John Barleycorn wordt zo uitgevoerd dat hij bijna nieuw lijkt. Van Eykens zangstijl is schatplichtig aan Martin Carthy, maar verder gaat hij een heel eigen weg met het opnieuw inkleuren van dit materiaal.
