The Alan Parsons Project's 'Tales of Mystery and Imagination Edgar Allan Poe' (1976) remains one of the collective's most beloved albums by both critics and fans. Based around retellings of horror stories and poetry by Edgar Allan Poe, musicians featured include Arthur Brown, John Miles, Terry Sylvester, Ambrosia, Pilot, and Francis Monkman. 2 LP heavyweight, 45 RPM audiophile edition. The first pressing comes with a limited numbered Obi-strip. This edition was cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road, September 2024 on a customised Neumann VMS 80 lathe at half-speed using high-resolution audio transfers taken from the original master tapes for the 2016 remaster. Pressed at Optimal, Europe's premium pressing plant. Includes a replica of the original 8-page booklet plus a printed insert featuring quotes from Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson.
