The pieces in this program represent highly contrasting examples of what might be termed the Central European tradition of wind music. The ensemble plays with a Vienna oboe and a Vienna horn, which is why they count as one of the few wind quintets in the tradition of the Vienna tonal style. Booklet notes in German and English.
