Retrospective's Falling In Love Again presents a seductively husky aural portrait of the superstar with 25 of her best recordings made during her heyday (although her career as a cabaret singer continued another 25 years). The famous title track (sung here in both German and English versions) is one of seven songs featured in Marlene Dietrich's many films such as Destry Rides Again (The Boys In The Back Room .), Morocco, Seven Sinners and A Foreign Affair. The cosmopolitan Marlene sings 13 songs in German, 11 in English (including Lili Marlene) and one in French (Symphonie). Particularly intriguing is a 1951 set of German versions of seven popular standards (The Surrey With The Fringe On Top, Miss Otis Regrets .), while in 1952 she made the charts duetting with Rosemary Clooney (Too Old To Cut The Mustard).
