I, Awake is the 2019 album from post rock, progressive, sludge, horror-synth outfit Upcdownc combining Swans-like repetitive dynamics with Black Sabbath style riffs and John Carpenter-esque horror synths. The concept for the music and artwork focuses on sleep, dreams, fears and night terrors and explores the transitions between sleep and waking life.
