'Bermudagrass' showcases Dore Coller's masterful acoustic guitar flatpicking and his versatility on dobro, mandolin and baritone ukulele. As on his earlier album, he surrounds himself with a roster of some of our finest acoustic musicians, namely banjo virtuoso Tim Weed, mandolinists Dan Large and Dave Hanks, bassists Joe Kyle Jr., Ned Doherty and Pat Campbell, percussionists Willow Van Den Hoek and Paul Cicco, drummer Eddie Sassin and fiddle players Leif Karlstrom and Annie Staninec. 'Bermudagrass' also boasts the considerable talents of David Grisman Quintet flutist Matt Eakle, who takes off on breathtaking improvisational solos on the soaring 'Blues for Haiti' and the exotic 'Jouvert Morning.' His brother, Kit Eakle, adds a violin to the mix on 'Infinity.' The epitome of the professional working musician, Coller, an in-demand guitarist and multi-instrumentalist has cobbled together a career for himself playing with local groups as well as writing and recording his own music. He's a fine singer, and an even better guitar player. As a composer, he has a gift for creating melodies that may stick in your head for days. And that's a good thing. Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Dore Coller has played with or with members of Howard Alden, Darol Anger, Big Brother, Allison Brown, Jeffrey Cain, Vassar Clements, Peter Coyote, Lacy J Dalton, Doug Dillard, Matt Eakle, Jerry Garcia, The David Grisman Quintet, John Hartford, Dan Hicks, David La Flamme (It's a Beautiful Day), Snooky Flowers, The Hot Club of San Francisco, Jimbo Trout, Maria Muldaur, Jeff Narell, David Nelson, Petty Booka, Van Morrison, Pablo Cruise, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Starship, The Rowan Brothers, The Waybacks, Merle Watson and The Youngbloods. His song 'Silent Spring' was the Platinum Award Winner of the Marin Earth Day 40th Anniversary Green Song Contest. Dore is currently in several groups including Bermudagrass, Caribbean R&B, The Hot Club of Marin, Malibu Buckaroo, Savannah Blu, Trio Max and Unplugged, playing a variety of styles. With his first CD 'Life's A Beach' and now continuing with the instrumental 'Bermudagrass' he brings all these influences together.
