If you have never been to Ibiza's legendary superclub, Space, you won't know what all the fuss is about. Needless to say, short of plonking you on one of its many podiums, this great two-CD set does it's upmost to transport the listener to one of the world's greatest night-club experiences. Outside on the infamous terrace, people jostle for room in the funkiest sweatpit known to man. It's on this hallowed turf that tracks like Jazzy M's "Jazzin' The Way You Know" were first broken and resident DJ Jon Ulysses safely steers us through all the classics, including Robbie Rivera's crowd-pleasing favourite, "Bang". If outside is sunshine and good times, then CD 2, the "Inside" mix is marginally less agreeable. With a dark, synthetic feel at it's core, DJ Reche's set is a punishing assault of scary goth-house and riff-obsessed Euro trance. Progressive house heroes, Slacker, put in a couple of notable appearances and Mara's vocal version of Chakra's "Home" is delightful, but, unfortunately, there are too many tuneless duffers dropped to make it essential. --Paul Tierney
