Mountain Fever Records is honored to announce the release of Smoky Mountain Favorites by Boone & Foster today. The long-awaited and emotional new album is years in the making, honoring the memory of the late Aaron "Frosty" Foster, who unexpectantly passed away in early 2021. Troy Boone and Frosty Foster began performing together as Dreamcatcher at Ole Smoky Moonshine in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, before joining other bluegrass bands including Amanda Cook’s band. The album, recorded in late 2019 and during the pandemic lockdowns of 2020, was at the suggestion of Frosty, who was eager to record some of his favorite bluegrass tunes. The sessions took place at Bearberry Studios and Aaron's Attic in North Carolina. Smoky Mountain Favorites includes Troy Boone on mandolin and vocals; Aaron "Frosty" Foster on guitar and vocals; Brady Wallen on banjo and harmony vocals; Daniel Greeson on fiddle and harmony vocals; and Aaron Ramsey on upright bass. Special guests include Rickey Wasson on lead vocal, Ron Stewart on fiddle, and Avery Welter on harmony vocal on the track "Uncle Penn" along with C.J. Lewandowski on lead vocal and Jereme Brown on harmony vocal on the song "Think of What You've Done."
