After debuting on Speak n' Spell Records in 2006 with the bristling Shaky Hands EP, Cut Off Your Hands quickly sets stages and airwaves throughout Australia and beyond. And with steady attention to touring and the production of melodic, musical gems, their avid fan base and cavalcade of media hyperbole has only continued to grow. With their nationwide reckoning at the 2007 Laneway Festival and Los Angeles, SXSW and New York really jumping the ball, it was saying the band is the first visit to London. which would prove their water. Lose Moments. After being thrilled by the band in Texas, lovable India maven Steve Lamacq (with John Peel s old show on BBC6) wasted no time dragging them into his Maida Vale Studios for a live performance when he knew they were in town. Suddenly, the guys from the antipodes were a bright pin stabbed on the British music card, and as a result, their remaining shows were stung full of hungry industrial folks. It was also while in London that the group worked through various channels and the snowball swing for the first time with former guitarist and producer of Bernard Butler. Her second EP, blue on blue, is the fruit of her labor. While the lead tracks of recording Still Fond and Oh Girl quickly settled into the higher rhythm of radio charts at home, things continue to move for the band abroad. Through the heady rise of record deals, single editions and the upcoming debut LP, the group has wished to their first love, the live arena. Unobtrusive in the van, Cut Off Your Hands forged solid friendships with fans and bands alike through British tours with the upbeat foals, the legendary Edwyn Collins and Florida s Black Kids - not to mention shows featuring The Duke Spirit and Les Savy Fav
