Auf dem Album vereinen Malene Mortensen und Christian Sands eigene Texte und neu komponierte Musik mit Standards. Mortensen gibt Einblicke in ihren lyrischen Werdegang: „Die Texte sind mir natürlich sehr wichtig. Sie entscheiden darüber, welche Lieder ich singe. Was sagen sie aus, und kann ich mich damit identifizieren? Kann ich die darin enthaltenen Emotionen erkennen und sie in meiner eigenen Interpretation ausdrücken?“ Das musikalische Programm entfaltet sich über ein breites Spektrum und wird durch die Mitwirkung eines internationalen Musikerteams bereichert.
