Die renommierte US-Truppe feiert ihr 20-jähriges Jubiläum und veröffentlicht ihr neues Album. Die achtköpfige Band, benannt nach dem US-amerikanischen Abolitionist (der unerbittlich die Sklaverei bekämpfte und dafür 1859 hingerichtet wurde), präsentiert mit "Fireflies" ihr elftes und bestes Album der langjährigen Karriere. Die Band tritt mit ihrem vielleicht bis dato besten Line-up an. JBBs Gründungsmitglieder Elliot Martin (Gesang) und Tommy Benedetti (Drums) werden von Jay Spaker (Gitarre / Gesang), Jon Petronzio (Keyboards), Dan Africano (Bass), Sam Dechenne (Trompete), TJ Shaper (Posaune) und Mike Vitale (Tenorsaxophon) begleitet. Die Band versucht sich stetig weiterzuentwickeln und tat das diesmal in Craig "Dubfader" Welschs (10 Ft. Ganja Plant) Rear Window Studio (Boston, MA).
