After the sell out of their first album the duo re-recorded many of those works, added a few more and came up with their most folky sounding recording. Starting with Cielito Lindo they move on through a couple of jazz standards plus a mix of their famous specialties. The album features solo cello with bass accompaniment. Overall the album has a nice flow of warm laid back sounds with some virtuoso flair. With everything from the Beatles to opera it is a wide variety of beautiful cello sounds. This is the third album of six by the Bottom Line Duo to date. Cello soloist Traci Hoveskeland and Bassist Spencer Hoveskeland explore a myriad of repertoire from Beethoven to the Beatles. Cello and Bass, Bass and Cello was recorded at Rainstorm studio in Seattle in 2002. It documents many of the pieces the duo was performing in the northwest and abroad at that time. It contains one original composition and other unique arrangements of popular music. Like each of the Bottom Line Duo's CDs, CBBC presents a mix of the traditional repertoire for these instruments with the new. The Bottom Line Duo is a touring and recording ensemble. They are heard on numerous movie soundtracks alone and as part of an orchestra. When not on tour they perform as soloists, duo, and larger ensembles in the Seattle area.
