Lalo Schifrin the man, like his music, is comprised of the stuff of many worlds. His own elegant erudition casually offered, bespeaks a passion for an older time, an ancient civilization long vanished. Absorbed through the ther of time and history, the disparate cultures finally coalesce and are reborn in the arts. For Lalo. who simply describes himself as a music maker, those thoughts and actions and ideas recomposite themselves in the notes on his page and in the minute shifts of his instrument's keys.I would lik to express my gratitude to His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, Cultural Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan.
