The serene beauty of Mirabai Ceiba’s The Quiet Hour is an antidote for turbulent times. Gently plucked acoustic guitars, charango, harp, and classical strings create textures that lead the listener on an inward journey of calm centeredness. Angelika Baumbach’s voice wells up like a stream and blossoms forth with sublime poetry. The deep, loving bond between Baumbach and her musical life partner― multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Markus Sieber― is palpable, as their instruments and voices intertwine on Mirabai Ceiba’s most intimate album to date. The album is produced by TONY Award-winner and GRAMMY nominee, Jamshied Sharifi. The song “Take On A Thousand Forms” is an intimate duet between Angelika Baumbach and Academy Award-winning singer/songwriter Markéta Irglová, best known for the movie and musical ‘Once’.
