Speechless

Dr. Grind hails from the most unlikely place for late 1980's melodic hard rock and metal sound. Still, in the Northwest and along the West Coast, Dr. Grind held fast against the turning tide. They did record one self-titled debut back then and tour extensively in the west. Speechless is their musical legacy containing 17 fine tracks of melodic hard rock with a brisk metal edge at times. Though it reflects the end of that period, Speechless is hardly an antiquated piece as the song composition and musicianship shows Dr. Grind to be fresh and accessible in any day. Rick Allen is impressive and versatile on vocals, guitarist John Tippins and Tom Moore keep things moving and stirring with the sound fret work. Choice track include the title song, Follow Your Own Road, Love Will Find a Way, Here and Gone, and the satirical Huge Wad.
