This Deluxe edition has been created specially for Black Friday RSD and is exclusive terrestrially within North America to CIMS. The set contains 28 songs on two discs and all versions are brand new and were recorded specifically for this album. Highlights include the massive funk workout "Living Together" from Mexican Dance Rock kings Kinky (Fresh off their very successful MTV Unplugged album), Isobel Campbell (Belle & Sebastian, Mark Lanegan) doing "How Deep Is Your Love", The Silver Seas performing "I Started A Joke", Warner Brother Recording artist Dylan Gardner covering "Massachusetts," the return of power pop legend Emitt Rhodes after 40 year absence with "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" and the rarely recorded Canadian "National Treasure" (Michael Stipe quote) Mary Margaret O'Hara on "Tell My Why." This Deluxe edition includes a bonus disc of 13 songs, 11 of which are alternate versions of songs from the first disc by the same artists. This is a unique concept for the tribute album genre that has never been done before. Also on the bonus disc are two exclusive additional covers not on the Standard album. This Deluxe edition is being manufactured in a limited edition of 5,000.
