PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNGEN
Davide Ravasio began performing at the age of fourteen playing at some of the best venues in Italy on the Ligurian and French Riviera, including the casinos of Mentone and Monte Carlo, as a singing percussionist, in a group led by his guitar playing brother, Andrea. In 1986 Davide joined the Sanremo Quartet and journeyed to many foreign lands, performing on cruise ships and various casinos; an experience which inspires him to gather and internalise ethnic elements that redefine his song writing methods. In the early nineties, Davide gained a diploma in clarinet playing at the Bruno Maderna Conservatorium in Cesena and then headed to the United States to study at the Berkeley College of Music in Boston. There, he graduated with first class honours majoring in jazz composition, film scores, and orchestral arrangement and direction. While overseas, Davide became first tenor sax and first clarinettist in the Los Melodicos Salsa Orchestra; performed as a soloist in prominent American theatre productions such as Anything Goes, Merrily We Roll Along, Chorus Line, Bye Bye Birdie and Guys and Dolls; worked as a session musician in various American recording studios and even recorded a jazz-fusion CD titled, Boston Skies. After having studied with luminaries like Andy McGhee, Joe Viola, Jerry Bergonzi, Greg Hopkins and Phil Wilson, Davide returned to Italy, established the Ravasio International Studio, a recording studio in his home town and in 2001 recorded the tracks on Desert Sharman, his debut international recording published under the Dutch label, Oreade. This recording is followed by Metropolitan Tribe, published by the same label and contracts with various publishers throughout the world for numerous compositions and soundtracks for international television network companies in America, Japan, Canada, Australia and England. Alongside his life as a composer and performer, Davide is also a teacher. Davide has recently graduated in music teaching from the A. Vivaldi Conservatorium in Alessandria Italy.
