The Subtle Dawn

This work of visionary poems set to intricate composed music- finished in 1999 but never available- originated in the study of William Blake and William Shakespeare. I decided to go back to school to learn how to compose music that could support the weight of my poetic style and so earned an M.Mus. From Indiana University School of Music. The nitty-gritty of the compositional language- as a rhetoric- is largely anchored in middle-period Beethoven. The style is largely anchored on the White Album from The Beatles. The Subtle Dawn features two composition-intensive instrumentals, 'Peace For Now'-- a roadmap for a peace-oriented politics which was scored for synthesizer-- and 'New World Laughing', also a map of the interrelationship between rock and classical rhetorics, performed by The Delphi String Quartet. The Subtle Dawn is still representative of my poetic and musical skills and is, I think, still artistically sound. Like my models-- Blake, Shakespeare, Dante, Milton, Beethoven and The Beatles + Yoko Ono-- this is serious work presented in a serious manner for serious people interested in forming an Independent Culture.
