What Just Happened is an original, progressive power-jazz quintet from Whitefish Montana. Relying primarily on jazz and funk formations, this group of performers spices it up with bluegrass flat-picking, swirling rave emulations, ocean-soaked Latin grooves and experimental flights into the realm of the rock anthem. They manage a tight, controlled wonderland that turns the standard live music fare inside out. They present a professional sound and innovative repertoire backed by solid, melodic musicianship and intelligent, infectious lyrics and harmonies. The songs are well wrought and seem to appeal on a level that subverts the 'hook' of pop.
